Beach Canvas using all sorts of Embelishments

For this Design Team project I made another mixed media canvas. I just kept layering more and more embellishments and kept placing the picture where I wanted it to go. I had a view master cut from the Cameo that I had previously cut out and decided to use it to show all the pictures of my nephew and great nephew at the beach. I loved seeing this little guy enjoying the waves and sand. On this canvas I used several of the embellishments from Flamingo Scaps store. Where you can find all your scapbooking and mixed media needs. Be sure to check out all the new CHA stuff that is coming in right now. AMAZING stuff!!

Here is the canvas that I ended up creating.

This part of the layout I used the stars from Studio Calico found in this Studio Calico Wood Veneers — Sampler 2, Prima Tiny Junkyard Findings Vintage Trinkets — Nuts & Bolts and a Maya Road Chipboard Say Cheese Mini Set.

Layering Maya Road Wood — Measure Once, Cut Twice Pieces, Prima Tiny Junkyard Findings Vintage Trinkets — Turns & Handles , Prima Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets — Washers

Using the Maya Road Wood — You’ve Been Framed Pieces I placed a picture of the guys in the frame. The photo that I printed out was a 2X2 cut down.

I then layered more of the mechanical around the picture area to create another cluster. I used the Prima Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets — Clock Works Pieces

Here I am showing how I put little photos in each one of the window's and used an Hidi Swap Mist packaging to put on the front of the photos. I used a 1 X 1 photo for this view finder. I also used a Prima Shaped Metal Paper Clips Sampler

This title I cut it out on the Cameo. I then used sand on it and colored it up using some Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

Stampaway Cincinnati 2013

Yesterday I had a great day at Stampaway Cincinnati!! I got to meet Tim Holtz, Mario and Dyan Reaveley!! Oh what a day!! All three was a friendly as if you had been their friend for life. It truly amazes me that in the Art World the well known artist are as humble and down to earth as the next guy. They truly make you feel like you are an artist right beside of them. There is no right or wrong to your Art!! JUST CREATE!! This was something that I will not forget!! Every artist has their own style and yours is unique! And as Dyan said it....It is your work and do it how you would like it. I have thought this way for many years...We are all different in our own ways. Each person sees and feels art different. And no matter how advanced or not advanced you are the Artist!! So, with all those creative wise words I came home and worked on a page of the new Dylusions journal. I love it!!!!

Echo Park a Beautiful Life meets Prima Julie Nutting Doll

This  Flamingo Scraps Design Team project I decided to make another canvas with the Julie Nutting Doll stamp. I needed one more to hang on my living room wall. Red and Pink is my favorite color combination, which is why I love this paper so much!! Remember to visit Flamingo Scraps for all the newest CHA releases. First I gessoed the canvas, used Prima Hello Pastel Fiber Trim – 1yd. Then I used Multi Medium some of the paper from the collection. I also used Pink Paislee She Art — Coffee Filter Sheets Words.  I watered down my gesso to make it light so I could again white wash it. Next I used some Tattered Angel Black Cherry and Cupid's Arrow and added it to where I wanted the color,  blotting off the excess so it is not too dark.
I used a Echo Park Beautiful Life 12×12 Collection Pack.
I used the large wings because I wanted it to flow with the canvas. I love using wings on all my girls. For some reason, I feel like it gives them  more personality.
I used the Melissa Frances Mirror Mirror On The Wall with Prima Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets — Washers inside of the frame.
I used these Prima Millicent Vine Meadow Lark flowers and sprayed some Tattered Angels Cupid's Arrow Mist on it to make them red,and some of the Prima Sherwood Rose Truffle . I added some stickles to the edges to make them pop.

Other Supplies used~
Prima Chalk Fluid Edger Vintage Pink
Maya Road Resin Flowers Green
Prima Vintage Trinkets Antique Brass
Seam Binding – Rose Petal
Prima SIIC Classic Clear Swirl
Prima Metal Paper Clips Clocks
