Scrapping today

I have been scrapping all day with my friend Angel.....via phone. LOL I have completed a recipe book. This is one of my designs for myscrapchick.com and to show how you can display your recipes. Hope you all like it. Getting ready to work on Recipes now. Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Well, I have officially decided to teach classes at Simply Scrapbooks in Dayton. I am teaching one recipe class a month. I am so excited!! I am currently working on class kits for Thursday night. I am also teaching my friend Sheri's daughter scrapbooking techniques. I did this Thursday morning. We had so much fun I can not wait until the next time. I just started working with mineral spirits to blend with stamps. I just love it!!

I have recipes done and will post them as soon as Myscrapchick.com post them in the recipe project page. These girls are so awesome!! OK, I hope to get some thing done tomorrow. My mother was sick today so I have convinced her to go to my Dr. Thank God!! The other Dr. she was going to kinda dismissed her when she got sick and will not work with her as a Dr. should when you have B-cell leukemia?? Go figure.....she says that when you get old no one wants to do anything for you. =O( I do not feel that way I enjoy everyday being around her. She is my best friend.

I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have been working on paper piecing's for myscrapchick.com. I also have been working on other stuff like...Canning tomato's, salsa, pickled vegetables with my friend Thelma. Salsa was the hardest but it ranks up there with the canned tomato's. I think we finally ended up with about 98 quarts of tomato's and 82 quarts of salsa. LOL

After 20 years of not seeing my old room mate we have reconnected. I am so lucky to have her in my life again. I just love her 2 daughters. They are just like her. We went boating last weekend and had a blast. Well that is all for now. I will be posting some recipes soon.

Some New Eye Candy and Update

Update here...Last night I fell into the door way....Clumsy I am....LOL I spent 6 hours in the ER Room and now today...I have still a large lump and a black eye. This knot was as big as a softball. I have never had headaches like this before. URRRGGGGHHH!! LOL I know one of my friends just called me Grace.LOL Here are some recipes that I have done. Last but not least I will be adding some cards to this blog tomorrow. Hope all is well with everyone!! Enjoy!

I can not believe I have not been here for awhile. I have been going out to dinner with my old room mate. Lord she is a trip!! We have been just talking and talking. Old times are the best when you are young and nothing bothers you. It seems like sometimes life just goes to fast.

I have done some stuff for myscrapchick.com. So, as soon as I get the ok I am going to post it. Off to bed I go!! Hope everyone has a great 4th of July.

Oh yeah I did get a new car. I kept my Grand Am GT....I could not part with it. Here is a picture of my G5. I really like it and gas milage is awesome.

Tomorrow

I am so excited that I get to go out to dinner with my long time friend Wed. We went out last week and had a blast!! So, I think we are going to start going out to eat on Wed. Today I have to take Bella-Weezie spaded. I hate doing this...but, if she had puppies I would want to keep all of them. So, she is getting spaded,. Well, I am going back to sleep.

I am sorry to say that my High School friend Aye passed away yesterday after along battle with cancer. I am so saddend by this. The last couple of weeks we have been messaging. I sent her one last night on her facebook but she had already passed away. Such a sweet person to have passed so young. Our loss is God's gain! She is in his hands now. Much Love always Aye. I will never forget you!! =O(

My Friend Aye

I am so upset about my friend Aye. We went to High School together. This is one of the sweetest people that you would ever meet. We had lost contact through out the years and just reconnected on Facebook. I am so happy that we have reconnected after all these years!



Aye is no longer able to receive chemotherapy because her liver is failing,
which means her fight with cancer is coming to an end soon.
In Aye’s words:

“I was originally diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2002. I went through chemo and radiation treatments for as year following my mastectomy. All signs were positive until spring of 2008 when my blood work started showing signs of cancer problems. I began chemo again as the cancer had moved to my liver. I have been through several type of chemo since then, stopping at the beginning of May when my blood cell count started preventing me from receiving my chemo treatments.
On June 4, 2009 I was informed during a doctor visit following some tests that my liver was failing and that I would not be able to receive more chemo. I was told that my illness is terminal and the situation is critical. I may only have weeks to live, no more that 6 months.”

For those unfamiliar with the Pfeifer family’s challenges these past eight years: in addition to Aye’s battle with cancer, Vince experienced end stage renal failure himself two years ago and nearly died. He spent months in a coma in the hospital. Once he stabilized, which was, seriously, a miracle, he spent a couple of months in rehab before returning home. Vince has some chronic health issues as a result of the experience and they face a crushing financial burden as well.

To pile on to the financial challenges: the company for which Vince works has not met payroll in 15 months and stopped covering their insurance in September, 2008. Despite the spectacular bad timing, obviously this is not the time for Vince to look for a new job. The blessing is that Vince has this irreplaceable time to spend with Aye, and the curse is that medical bills and other necessities have destroyed their savings.

Aye, has asked that we find a way for the family to go to Hawaii in the next four to six weeks, before her health makes it impossible.

Again, in her words:

“My son had always wanted to have the family go to Hawaii and play with the dolphins. Due to our illnesses over the past few years we have only taken one family vacation during my son’s life. We currently have no means which to enjoy a trip to Hawaii and playing with the dolphins. I would like to go with my family from Seattle to Hawaii and spend a few of my last days with them on the beaches of one of the islands. I would like to be able to see my son play with the dolphins and leave him with a wonderful lasting memory of our time together.”

They’ve contacted a private foundation, The Dream Foundation, to see if they can help make this wish happen (that’s why they wrote the painful recap above.)

However, time is so short that the foundation may not be able to honor the wish.

This is where her friends have stepped up. We are well on our way to sending them to Hawaii to fulfill Aye’s wish.

But their needs do not end with their trip. We will also need to help her family to fly to Seattle to be close to Aye. And there are also some day-to-day needs for the family as well. We will post those needs in the discussion area of this site in hopes that someone will be able to help out.

I hope that you will keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers. She needs all prayers she can get.

Here is the album I did for my sister's step-daughter. I thought it turned out pretty nice. She really liked in when I gave it to her for her graduation present. Now she is off to Lake Cumberland College going to be a Dr. So, looks like I will be making a trip down to see her.

I know I have not been here much. So, much to do and then Fibromyalgia took hold when the weather got cold again. Bella-Weezie is getting so big. One of the big dogs was playing with her and her little nose swelled up on one side. She today is back to full action. I will post pictures of her tomorrow when my sister comes. She has my Weezie disk with all the pictures.

By the way have you been to myscrapchick.com. Man, have they got the cutest files of a dog. And the Duck files are just out of this world. Boy files have been released this week and then the Girl is going to be reliease next week. Those girls are so talented.

Sorry I have not been here...Life is getting in the way of scrapping. Like my new little puppy that never sleeps much!! I did not relize that they are so demanding. LOL But, worth it. I have put some new pictures up for you to see how she had grown.

Easy Bunny Cake

Welcome!! I have been working on recipes in between potty training Bella-Weezie. You talk about a job!! LOL Ok I have a new recipe done.
