Gabriel's First Year book

I know it has been forever since I have posted. I now have a new great nephew Gabriel and this is His first year book. It has 12 months and there are pockets at the top that you can pull out to put on pictures. I also used toilet paper rolls and Loved using them. Makes this book so unique. I sure hope you like....More post to follow sooner then last time. I might press my luck and do a video on this. We will see how that turns out!!

Day 5 of my Creative Chemistry 101 with Tim Holtz

Day 5 of my Creative Chemistry 101 with Tim Holtz. These classes are so informative that with each technique I do I am just in awe of how the Distress Stains, Inks and Markers work. I have always been a fan of the ink pads....but now I am a fan of all things Tim!! LOL But, really if you get a chance to take this class it is well worth the price and to learn new techniques in your own home. Yes, I do have to admit I would love to take this class from Tim live....But, we all know that he is so busy. So, the class on line will have to do for now!!! Hope you like my take on Day 5 techniques!!

I have no cut and dry foam...so I will have to try that one later. But, I did do two of them. I am just amazed what this man comes up with and willing to share this with the crafter's out there. Day 2 of my Creative Chemistry 101 with Tim Holtz

Yes, missing in action again....LOL I have been taking Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 and boy what a wonderful class to be taking with so many techniques. I am just amazed what that man does!! So with that I would like to share with you some of the tags I have made going along with the classes. Each day will be in separate days and there are 10 days of the class with the first one just explication the different types of inks. So day 2 starts the 3 tags a day. My Creative Sketches Contest

First of all I have not stopped scrappin. I have done many books that I have just not posted on my blog. (Need to take pictures and post) Hopefully I will get to them soon. I did this layout for My Creative Scrapbook.com

It is a little different then I usually do....But, my goal on this layout was not to use flowers and just use the paper and some Prima Butterflies. I used the Prima Reflections line and added a Chipboard piece. Also the canvas and the little envelope was from Canvas Corp. Hope you like it!! <3

November's Build-A-Page sketch at Prima!

This is of my Best Friend from HS's children....Today she was in from South Carolina...and this is what I gave her framed. Can not wait to start on the next one for Christmas now. My Creative Sketches Layout #2 of a 3 month contest

Had some unexpected company from Louisiana. Called Wednesday and was here on Late Thursday night. My friend Angel and her husband come to see me in Ohio...I know I know. I was so surprised!! I had started this layout last Wednesday and finished it just now. I had taken this picture this weekend with her....I had so much fun and enjoyed their visit and did not want them to leave. Challenge Using Stitching at Mycreativescrapbooks.com

This month that challenge at Mycreativescrapbooks.com is stitching on a layout...so here you go lots of stitching!! I used Cosmo Cricket If you Must look line and the new Tim Holtz Distress Ink Ripe Persimion and Gathered Twigs. I love both of the colors!! I also used the new Prima Distress Tool. Oh I am in love with it!! I thought there was nothing better then Tim Holtz distresser...well now there is PRIMA!! If you like distressing then you will love it to!!

In this layout it is October 29th 2011 at Little River Cafe Halloween Costume Party with my friend Leah and her sister....what an awesome time was had!!

My Creative Scrapbook September Circle Challenge

This is a layout I did for MyCreativeScrapbooks.com. This months layout theme is Circles. So, that is what I did hollow circle and had a fun time workin with them. This picture is the only family picture I have with my dad included. It was taken in the early 70's at Christmas time. I used My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found" I am so loving this line they have come out with. I also used Tim Holtz Distressed Brushed Corderoy on the edges. Hope you like!!

My Creative Sketches-Big Sketch Contest Of 2011

My Creative Sketches-Big Sketch Contest Of 2011 at My Creative Sketches This Month They Have A 3 Month Fall Sketch Contest. Which will last for a 3 Months ..There will be 3 winners and 3 prizes each month. The first winner will be judged and chosen by the design team and then Pam will draw 2 random names for a prize. Each month for September, October and November everyone that creates a Layout with all 3 sketches will be eligible for another PRIZE. So when you do all 3 layouts you could even win another PRIZE!! This is the "GRAND" Prize. The winner for this will be randomly drawn.

My take on the sketch. I had to change it around some in order to use the dress form cut out. The paper company that I used was My Mind's Eye and the line is Lost and Found. I also used Prima Marketing.

Sketch Contest at My Creative Sketchs Blog

I have decided to do a Sketch Contest at My Creative Sketches blog.
With this I did a canvas. I used a Prima mask and used molding paste...let that dry then used gesso on the whole canvas. Now it is time to work with it. I used Tim Holtz Brushed Corderoy stain all along the edges, then took the Distressed stain and used a sponge all along the textured design...then took Tattered Angels Mist Crushed Shells and sprayed the whole canvas. I LOVE doing these!! On to the rest I used Gabrielle...Bo-Bunny Paper and some of the goodies I got from Prima and Mycreativescrapbook.com's contest. So here is my canvas and then the sketch I used. Of course I do not like to go by the rules. I used square and this picture is taken at Cayacus Beach in Sunny California. Thanks for stoppin by!! Hope you like!!!

I won New Prima Products from CHA release summer 2011

Yes tonight...I won some new Prima stuff just release at the 2011 Summer CHA!! I watched the new release Ustream that prima put on and Won!! I still can not believe it!! So lucky to be getting some stuff before it is even released to the stores!! So dang happy and doing the happy dance right now!!! LOL Thanks Prima for bringing out so many new and wonderful products...The one thing that I want the most is the new Distress Tool!! It will make layouts so much easier!!

Little Mini Book

Here is a little mini book that I made and it has tags that you pull out of the top to journal or place a photo on. This is a class on ustream that Marion Smith taught and I just loved the way it turned out. Hope you like!!

Another Distressed Book

Here is another book that I have done. I love the colors of this one....I used an old book and distressed the book and binded papers into it so it can be a journal or a scrapbook. Hope you like!!

I know I am a slacker....LOL I have still been scrappin...just not posting on my blog. Shame on me!! I have entered a challenge at Mycreativescrapbook.com and won. I am so shocked since there were so many great layouts entered. I am in complete wow right now. I will share this layout that I submitted of my mom. She was around 16 or 17 and I love this young picture of her. Reminds me that she once was young too. Now she is 77 and fighting Lymphomia Leuikemia. So anytime that I see a younger more vibrant mother....Makes me know just how blessed I am to still have her.

Vintage altered book for challenge at Marion Smith's

This Vintage Book is for a challenge at Marion Smith "A Piece of Craft" Blog. Marion works for Prima and is an outstanding artist. So, I decided to join in the fun. I got this book at a good will store. It smelled so old when I was working on it....Reminds me of how my grandmother's house used to smell. Brought back some of the best times of my child hood. She was the most awesome Grammy that anyone could have!!

With this book I used Tattered Angel's glimmer mist, Prima flowers and Prima Bling,(I changed the color of the pearl's with some Tattered Angel's Glim Glam I think is what it is called...some ribbon bought at Hobby Lobby, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Ink. I made the book charms with glass beads and charms from my collection. Hope you like what I have created....I loved making it and will make more of these altered books.

Photo frame for my mother

Here is a photo frame is for my mother. This is a picture of my grandparents on their wedding day. Come to find out about 20 years after my mother was married to my father...she found out that she was married on the same day as my grandparents. Her mother passed away when she was 2 so she was in foster homes and did not know. How cool is that?? Hope you like!!

Hey all you scrappers

Hey all you scrappers....I know missing in action again. I have re amped my scraproom for the umteenth time. I pray this is the last time!! I have been working on a couple of projects for my sister. I know....I just got my sisters done and her birthday was in January. But, she is understanding and likes it...so it makes me happy to make it for her. =O) I hope you like my newest creation.
