I know you think I got lost.

I have been working on some cute vintage journals. I have done 6 of these. I had watched Prima Live on Ustream. Marion Smith of Prima was teaching this video on making these with lace. I love to use paint and used to tole paint so I loved this project. I made my own flowers with the Retro 3 sizes from EK Success. Hope you like them....I sure had some fun making them!!









These are made from curtains from a house that my mom and step-dad bought in Virginia. My mom still had them after all these years...so I cut them up. LOL

A Scrapbook page for a dear friend

Here is another layout that I did for a friend for Christmas. She was so shocked when I gave it to her. That is what I like to see....suprise!! LOL I used this for a sketch challenge at MyCreativeScrapbook.com. I just love their sketches there!! Hope you like!!

I have decided to try out for a Design Team Postion at MyPinkStamper.com. The
Challenge is to Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using Robin's favorite colors Pink, Green, Brown and other optional color of your choice.

So, I did a layout of my girl Weezie. With this layout I used for the pink background I used the Storybook font cart, The 4 Legged Friends cart for the Dachshund and the "Wet nose Warm Heart" title. The paper used is Bazzill (White and Black) Background paper used was Paisly by Bo Bunny. I also used Ranger Ink Paint Dabbers (White and Raspberry), and vintage photo Distress ink for the Brown on the Dachshund, Tattered Angels Mist Olive Branch for the leaves and some white embossing powder. I hand made all the flowers using the Reto Punch from EK Success. Hope you like!!

The Downings- 4th Generation

I know I have posted 2 layouts before this one. I have spent many hours doing hand made flowers. I just love making them!! I guess I made so many...that I broke my baby punch and just go the 2 that I ordered today. WAHOOOOO!! I had to buy a back-up. LOL This layout is of my mother, my sister, her son, and her son's son. 4 Generations and in the photo is a picture of my grandfather so my mom said that it is 5 generations.....Bless her heart!! LOL I gave this to my sister for Christmas in a 12 X 12 frame. I used Myscrapchick.com Leaf file. I just love this file!! Hope you like.

Big Sketch #3 Contest at My Creative Scrapbook

I know I have not been around much.....I have been working on Baking and making presents. Family Wall Art for Photos file from Myscrapchick

I saw this and I thought it was so cute....70% off. Whahoooooo!!
I decided to change it up a bit and put my dogs photo's in it. And
used the quote...."A home is not a home without a dog" I used Tim Holtz

My Puppy Box with file from Myscrapchick.com

Here is a box that I made usiing Myscrapchick.com files. This is a trinket box. My friend Angel made one of these a while back and yes, I knew I had to make one!! She got it from this website..( http://min-hobbyblogg.blogspot.com/2009/09/tutorial-box-with-4-drawers ) This box was so much fun to make. I put 2 layers instead of one...Hope you like....

I have been a bit busy lately

Mosaics Class taught by my High School teacher

I have found another love. LOL Not like I have enough. But, I always like trying something new. So tonight my High School teacher had some of her previous students come and she taught us how to do mosaics. Of course I did a Dachshund. I love doing this too!!! LOL Another hobby for me. My Creative Scrapbook Round #2

Well, we are now on round #2 at My Creative Scrapbook. I have done this layout of my Uncle Bob that passed away 3 1/2 years ago. I am going to use this for a Christmas present. I used 3 myscrapchick.com files on it. The scalloped background, the key and the leaves) I also used Tim Holtz masking, die, embossing powder, ink. I used my Cricut Expression to cut my files. My Scraproom

Ok, I know I know...I have not been here. Just finally got some organization of my scraproom now. I have changed the whole look of it. Still to much stuff....and keep getting more....What is wrong with this picture??? LOL I thought I would show you a couple of pictures of where I create. Challenge #35 anything but a square card at Sassy Cheryl's

Yes, I have been a slacker....LOL Life seems to get in the way sometimes of scrapping. So, with that said I did Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week and used one of my favorite images. But, then again they all are my favorite. LOL It is a card made from the Cricut Just Because cards. I love this one too...you can make the envelopes for the cards on it instead of buying them like I always do. Hope you like my creation...I have added the insert on the lower one to show that it goes together.

" Big Sketch Contest " at My Creative Scrapbook

I have decided to get back to my roots....Scrapbook pages. I am entering this layout in "Big Sketch Contest" at My Creative Scrapbook. So my friend has told me about this one and I really like how it has turned out. I of course used Myscrapchick.com's leafs and key files and I am hooked Tim Holtz techniques and Tatered Angels mist so I used some of both. LOL This is the first layout that I have done in over 3 years since my brother passed away. So, I have done the first of many more to come. This is a picture that my talented sister took back in the spring on my mom. I love this photo of her. Sassy Cheryl Challenge #33 Let's Add Some Dimension

Sassy Cheryl Challenge #33 Let's Add Some Dimension. So with that said....I popped my image. I also used a technique using what I learned on YouTube. Using your embossing folders as stamps and embossing at the same time. I have shown you some examples at the bottom of my card. Try it...it is awesome. You have to use a stamp roller and I used Tim Holtz and Tatered Angel's spray. Back to Sassy Cheryl's challenge I hope you like the card I created....I love this challenge...Because I love Pop Dots!! Here is my creation.

Karen's Doodles Challenge 32 - Recipe

At Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog....Challenge #32 - Recipe is to use at least 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image. I am trying to get ahead of Christmas so I used a $1.00 date book and made it so that when the year is done you can buy a new date book and just put it in the slots without having to throw this cute dog away. So, as you can tell I used many different things on this challenge....Spellbinders die, MS swirl stamps and border punch, TH Distress ink, Pink and Red ribbon, white rick rack, TH Ticket Stub, Rhinestones and Copic Markers. The flowers is a technique that I tried out from YouTube.com. I love watching these video's. LOL New techniques...new ideas. LOVE IT!! I found something crazy awesome on there that I am going to use on my next challenge. So, be sure that you check back. If you own embossing folders you will want to try this out for yourself. Karen's Doodles Challenge 31 - Halloween or Fall

This week at Karen's Doodles Challenge 31 - The theme is Halloween or Fall. So, of course I chose the Dog Halloween one. I just love this image and have used it a couple of times. This time I decided to paint with Water colors. I really liked doing something different for a change. I also used Liquid Applique for the trees cut out with my cutter behind the image.
